On this course you will get the understanding of the GCSE qualification and you will gain reading and writing skills which will enable you to enrol on the GCSE course. You will learn pertinent vocabulary. You will read fiction, non-fiction and transactional texts. You will gain better understanding of how writers use the language to address a targeted audience, to achieve a specific purpose and how they convey emotions. You will be able to analyse texts and identify these features. You will learn about literary devices, cultural reference and inference. You will practice to write imaginatively and to write letters and speeches.
