Do you want to be able to use a sewing machine confidently? If so, this very short course is designed as a basic introduction for learners who may be interested in progressing onto any other Fashion & Textiles course- or who just want to be able to carry out basic sewing tasks at home- and want to build their confidence in using a sewing machine first. You will gain a good understanding of using a machine safely, and you will be introduced to all the main functions and controls, from correct threading and tension adjustments, to a range of stitches & simple techniques.Please be aware the classroom for this course is on the first or second floor of the Brockley Rise Centre. We are in the process of arranging for the lift to be replaced, so temporarily there is no lift access.
