Would you love to be able to upcycle & personalise a piece of furniture for your home, and maybe to kick-start a potential new interest or even career? This course will develop your skills in the selection and use of modern techniques and upholstery materials, using specialist tools & equipment and considering appropriate design ideas. Your project will be to complete either a small foot/piano/plain bar stool or a simple dining style chair (i.e. this should have just a seat pad and no back or arm pads). The style of the item is your own personal choice, but please be aware that the timeframe for this project is designed for seats which have a board base and no webbing or springs, and is therefore a faster project to fully complete. If you need further guidance- particularly about a project choice- do please contact the Curriculum Leader either before you enrol, or purchase a specific piece of furniture
