This fantastic new 5 week course is aimed at confident sewers, who are looking to build in-depth knowledge of specific techniques. These can be used to give detail and variety to a simple existing skirt, trouser or dress pattern- and will take your skills to a new professional level! You will spend two sessions exploring all types of zips: invisible, centred/lapped, open ended & decorative visible. A further two sessions will develop your knowledge of pocket construction: double & single welts, side pockets, and lined & unlined patch pockets. The remaining session will focus on the use and different types of bindings. Please note that you will not be making a garment on this class- but you will produce a portfolio of reference samples that will be an excellent resource for all your future projects.
