Whether you are a complete beginner or you are already a home sewer or crafter, if are interested in finding out more about Patchwork, then this friendly, informal & free of charge evening taster would be an ideal introduction. You will learn how to make and sample a patchwork block by hand using the traditional technique known as Manx Log Cabin. Using only scraps of cotton fabric, a needle and some sewing thread, you will be guided step by step through the process of assembling & hand-stitching this useful and decorative block. The session will be delivered by Textile Artist & Tutor, Linda Litchfield, and you will have the opportunity to find out more about the remote delivery and classroom based courses that she runs.The session will be delivered using an online platform, and this is usually either Google Meet or Zoom. Please be aware that you do not need to have a Google account to take part. You will be sent a link to join the call , usually within 1-2 days of the session date- and if you enrol less than 24 hours before the start time, please contact the Curriculum Leader so that we can send you the class link in time
