If you have an interest in Textiles & Stitch, then this friendly & free of charge demonstration session would be an ideal introduction to the technique of free machine embroidery. The session will be delivered by Textile Artist & Tutor, Linda Litchfield, and she will show and discuss the following: choosing suitable fabric and thread, preparing your sewing machine, hooping-up your fabric and embroidering using the sewing machine's straight and ziz-zag stitches. The potential and effects of using different threads & changes of tension will also be covered. You will have the opportunity to find out more about the remote delivery and classroom based courses that Linda runs at ALL. The session will be delivered using an online platform, and this is usually either Google Meet or Zoom. Please be aware that you do not need to have a Google account to take part. You will be sent a link to join the call , usually within 1-2 days of the session date- and if you enrol less than 24 hours before the start time, please contact the Curriculum Leader so that we can send you the class link in time
