This course is carefully designed for post-natal mothers who are looking to recover their shape and fitness after their pregnancy. The Pilates repertoire of exercises has been modified to achieve the goals of the learner, taking into consideration common problems of the post-natal period such as diastasis recti, pelvic floor issues, lower back problems, upper back tension, mental health, carpal tunnel syndrome and other common problems related to post pregnancy. Each learner will be individually guided to ensure the correct exercises are practiced using accessories where appropriate. e.g.: stretchy bands, hand weights, etc. Chairs will be used for a range of seated exercises.Please note that the earliest you can participate in excercise classes is 6-8 weeks after giving birth.This is NOT a family learning class and children/babies are not to participate.
