An exciting short course encouraging self - development through print, building an understanding of just 2 techniques used by Pablo Picasso, Andy Warhol, Rembrandt and Henri Matisse. In line with the greats you will design your relief piece, cut a block (wood or lino) and then print from the raised surface you have left behind. Your intaglio work once designed, transferred and incised rely on the marks made into your metal plate to retain the ink and print from. Both have an incredible range of possibilities allowing for self expression.The course has been designed to support all levels of experience - new starter and beginners will be able to learn and experience the basic skills whilst producing a series of portfolio samples to a good standard.
