This new course is designed to provide you with the knowledge & skills you need to help you start creating your own sewing patterns. You will be looking at the fundamental skills & techniques of pattern cutting, starting with the basic tools, which are not as numerous as you may at first think! You will be working with reduced size blocks which are half and quarter scale, and these are your stencils for making your sewing pattern. As the course progresses, you will be working on a range of specific techniques and processes such as dart manipulation, pivoting and slash & spread. You will also be learning how to add design detail, how to shape necklines & armholes, and many other valuable processes.
