During this introduction students will explore texture by imprinting, adding combustible materials, carving and perforating porcelain to enhance its unique translucent qualities. Students will have a choice to design and make functional vessels or more abstract, decorative and sculptural art works. We will use standard, paper and liquid porcelain. Glazing and how colour can be added into a clay body will be part of this course.
