Fusing inspired by The British Museum. You can visit the museum online, learn about the various collections and select a piece or pieces to base your main design on. You will learn how to cut glass using a variety of methods and use a variety of glass fusing and slumping techniques. You will use a range of glass fusing accessories to explore colour, texture, form and create samples of these techniques to keep as reference for future glass projects. You will research and explore ideas whilst keeping an artists notebook recording your ideas. For beginners we would suggest that you concentrate on creating a simple design for a fused bowl, for returning learners this is a chance for you to explore and extend your skills concentrating on design and quality maybe preparing a piece for exhibition.
