Would you like to explore personal craft projects? This 11 week course in the Supported Learning Curriculum for Adults with Learning Difficulties might be perfect for you. This creative approach falls under our community inclusion and health pathways, as creativity can ease mental health challenges while producing something unique and beautiful which can be shared with community through our celebrations and events.You will be provided with inspiration to plan and develop different craft projects, for example: mosaic, decoupage, textiles, screen printing and other crafts tailored to the interests of the group. You will use sketchbook to gather ideas such as drawings and collage to help you develop designs for craft projects.You will also raise awareness of Health and Safety when using art and craft materials and tools. In the first term you will focus on textiles.You will start by working from inspiration provided to create. You will also explore how to dye the fabric to create the base cushion colour and then learn how to cut a stencil for printing through. Finally you will screenprint your final design onto a cushion and then you will be able to take home your finished work.
