The emphasis on this arts course is about using applied art processes with some emphasis on basic drawing skills as a starting point. Every lesson you will be guided with advice and tips when working with specific skills and techniques. A focus on the enjoyment of the creative process will allow yourself to discover your creative mindset and help you forget daily distractions. As you build up a collection of work you will start to feel a sense of self-accomplishment from each task. This term we will cover the following processes: - printmaking- collage. This course is a suitable for those who have attended art classes in the past and feel that they would enjoy the challenge of problem-solving that naturally happens when working on art projects. These sessions will give your brain a small workout which is designed to help you blow those daily cobwebs away. Develop your art appreciation by learning how to understand a range of artworks and art movements. All sessions have a tutor-led safety-net by differentiation of learning goals. You will be fully supported while being encouraged to see if you can learn something new each session. Learning something new each day has known benefits for a healthy brain.
