There are many physical and mental benefits to expressing yourself by creating something. Clay is very tactile and using your hands to create can reduce stress and anxiety, improve focus and the feeling of being present, as well as the gentle movement offering strength and mobility to the hands and wrists. In our mindful pottery class, you will learn to design and plan your pots using different clay working methods and testing other ways of applying decoration to your ceramic forms. You will be encouraged to research and actively engage in museum, gallery and local visits to places of interest.
