Increase your body awareness, improve your posture and learn how to relax in this 10-week yoga class for beginners and improvers based on the teaching of Hatha yoga. As well as developing your strength, flexibility and stamina, you'll focus on your body alignment and learn to breathe more easily, helping you shake off the stresses of daily life. Over the weeks you'll learn a variety of yoga postures (or asanas), breathing techniques (pranayama) and relaxation exercises. The course includes standing, sitting, supine, prone and upside down (inverted) postures, as well as forward and backward bends, twists, side stretches and balancing poses.
