This course is a 11 week course and part of a curriculum for Adults with Learning Difficulties. Short mat bowls is an indoor sport in which players attempt to score points by rolling a heavy ball along a fairly flat surface, to gain as many shots as possible by getting their bowls nearer to the jack than their opponents, and so outscore them. This game helps to improve co-ordination, learn and improve basic skills: forehand, backhand, bowl bias, techniques for handling and releasing bowl, as well as explores different game strategies, scoring and competitive play, leading to improved confidence and personal development.
