Do you enjoy food and would like to learn how to cook delicious meals? This 11 week course is for Adults with Learning Difficulties and supports health and wellbeing pathway. During this course you will gain knowledge and skills in area of cooking. A wide and varied range of topics and skills will be explored, for example: diet, nutrition, food hygiene and basic food preparation. You will explore the main food groups and how to plan balanced meals. You will gain a wide and varied range of basic cookery skills: weighing and measuring, chopping, slicing peeling and mixing. Basic food hygiene and nutrition will be an important part of the course.This course will help you to develop independent living skills in area of planning and preparing food.
