This friendly, hands on jewellery course introduces beginners to core jewellery making techniques through engaging in the creation of moving earrings. You will explore how simple shapes, lightweight metalwork, and clever connections can create earrings that swing, spin, and sway with lively kinetic movement. You will develop core skills in cutting, shaping, soldering and finishing metal.You will work through a series of guided projects that explore freely moving interconnected dangling parts, riveted spinners, wire based movement, and layered swing elements. Each project introduces a different way to create kinetic motion, helping you develop a versatile set of jewellery making skills.By the end of the course, you will have created a selection of expressive moving earrings each one unique, full of character, and designed to move beautifully when worn. You will also gain the confidence to continue exploring jewellery design and making.
