This course supports adults living with, or recovering from a mental health condition, who have little or no IT experience and would like to build confidence using digital devices for everyday life and work. You will develop practical computer skills, such as managing files, copying and pasting information, sending emails, and accessing online services safely. Across three terms, you will progress from basic device use to completing independent digital tasks. Sessions are hands-on and paced to support individual needs, using repetition and real-life scenarios. In term 1, you will get started with an introduction to computers and digital skills, doing simple tasks and building your confidence. You will learn how to use a keyboard and mouse, connect to Wi-Fi, open programs, and carry out simple tasks such as copying and pasting text. The focus is on building confidence and familiarity with devices.
